FERNANDO MUSLERA will cost Manchester United £35million, according to reports.
United are known suitors of the Uruguay goalkeeper but his club Galatasaray are determined to retain him.
It was thought a £25m offer would suffice in landing the ace but Gala president Dursun Ozbek wants more.
“£18m (€25m) is not enough, £25m million is not enough, we want him to stay until the end of the season but if we receive a higher offer we could consider,” Ozbek told AMK.
Turkish media source Milliyet claim Muslera, 29, will cost £35m and is seen as a competent replacement at Old Trafford should David De Gea get his wish and leave for Real Madrid.
De Gea has been left out of United two matches this season, having requested not to be selected.
He may get a game against Club Brugge in a Champions League qualifier this week but it appears more likely that he will force through a move to Real.
It is understood he is considering handing in a transfer req
uest to quicken proceedings as Real and United fail to match each other's evaluation of the stopper.
Ajax star Jasper Cillessen is also a proposed target of United were De Gea to leave, while Hugo Lloris of Tottenham is a third.
