NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you the latest transfer news coming out of Old Trafford

Rafael has made an emotional farewell to his Manchester United team-mates after leaving the club.

The right-back ended his eight-year stay at Old Trafford and flew to France ahead of his move to Lyon.

And he reserved special praise for former boss Sir Alex Ferguson, tweeting: "Thank you Sir Alex Ferguson for always believing in my work and for all the doors that you opened up to me.

"Now it's  a new path, a new challenge, God bless me!"
David De Gea is reportedly desperate to leave United before they face Tottenham.
The Red Devils host Spurs on Saturday in their Premier League opener.

And Spanish paper Marca claim De Gea wants to secure a deal soon, as he is fearful of how the fans will react to him over his ongoing transfer saga.
Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola claims Bastian Schweinsteiger hasn't been fully fit for three years.
Schweinsteiger joined United from Bayern in a £14.4million deal last month.

And Guardiola believes United will struggle to get the best out of Schweinsteiger unless he can stay injury free.
He said: "When he does not have injury problems I am completely convinced he will do very well at Manchester United.
"He is a top, top player. Unfortunately, the last three years he was never in good condition."
