Man United captain Wayne Rooney in trouble with sponsors Adidas after Nike Facebook post
Wayne Rooney in hot water for Facebook post
WAYNE ROONEY has risked the wrath of the sponsors by posting a picture of himself wearing a Nike training top on the day Adidas took over as Manchester United's kit suppliers.

Rooney, personally endorsed by Nike, posted an image on Facebook wishing Bastian Schweinsteiger a happy birthday.
However the United duo were wearing their old club training shirts.

Adidas took over from Nike as United's suppliers on the first of the month and are reportedly unhappy about the image.
United's new home shirt was revealed on August 1 - along with a female version which has been slammed as sexist - as part of the record breaking £750million deal.

Rooney's image was captioned with: "Happy Birthday to Bastian Schweinsteiger. Have a good day mate!"
And the Sun report to have been told: "A lot of the lads marked the day but Wayne obviously didn't get the message. The Adidas guys weren't too happy."
United kick off their new campaign this weekend in the Premier League's opening game against Tottenham at 12.45 on Saturday.
