Louis van Gaal says he will be the one to reveal any news on Victor Valdes |
LOUIS VAN GAAL has admitted he will reveal Victor Valdes' future as soon as the club have agreed his transfer.
The Spain international joined Manchester United last January as back-up to David De Gea after being released by Barcelona.
However, the shotstopper has since fallen out of favour with Louis van Gaal and has suffered the same fate as Anders Lindergaard and De Gea - watching on from the stands.
The 33-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Turkish side Besiktas, however, Van Gaal has admitted he will be the one to reveal the goalkeeper's future.
He told reporters: "When we want to do announcements, we shall do it, not when you ask us."
And when pressed on the possible departure of Valdes, he replied: "When we want to say anything then we say it but not at the moment."
The Champions League winner has made just two Premier League appearances for United - a far cry from his successful time at Barca where he rose through the youth ranks to turn out 387 times for the senior side.
