| Karim Benzema is reportedly on his way to Arsenal |
ARSENAL have chartered a private jet to bring Karim Benzema over from Spain ahead of his transfer from Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Frenchman could be unveiled as early as Tuesday and might be ready to make his debut against Liverpool the following Saturday.
Bookies have already slashed odds on Benzema moving to the Emirates and it appears a deal is closer than ever.
Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli confirmed the news via his Twitter account.
"Arsenal are believed to have rented a Gulfstream private jet to accommodate Benzema on Sunday evening," he said.
Another tweet claimed a medical is already arranged, with the 27-year-old expected in London on Monday.
"He will have a medical Monday early afternoon and be confirmed just before kick off. He will stay in 5 stars hotel London center," Giulianelli added.
However, new reports emerging suggest the Gunners could yet face some competition from Manchester United.
United are understood to be monitoring Benzema's progress and could swoop if he is made available.
