But Jennifer Lopez has shown that she can carry off the smart look after donning a pinstripe suit on the set of her forthcoming television detective series, Shades Of Blue.
Not one to shy away from figure-hugging dresses, 46-year-old J-Lo was looking more business woman than party girl in the charcoal pinstripe suit with a loose-fitting T-shirt.
The only hint of bling on the Love Don’t Cost A Thing hitmaker was her gold police badge and watch.
Better known for her fun and bubbly personality, Jennifer showed a serious side – power-dressing with a long, curly bob. So as not to detract from her high-powered role her two-piece was teamed with natural make-up, a subtle smokey eye shadow and pink lipstick.
Heeled boots and manicured talons polished off the look.
