Hospital confirm Angel Di Maria medical as winger prepares to quit Manchester United

Angel Di Maria is in Doha to complete his PSG medical

ANGEL DI MARIA is undergoing a medical in Doha ahead of his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

 

A Doha hospital tweeted pictures of the Manchester United winger with the statement: "#AngelDiMaria in Aspetar, Doha for a medical test ahead of a proposed move from @ManUtd to @PSG_inside."

 

Di Maria, 27, is expected to complete his £44million switch to Paris this week.

He has reportedly already agreed terms with the Ligue 1 champions.

Di Maria was United's record signing when he arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid for £59.7m just last summer.

But after scoring four goals in his debut season in English football, the player appears set to quit the club.

Uncertainty over his future arose this summer when he failed to join United's squad on their pre-season tour of the USA.

He was fined £360,000 for his absence.

 

United are on the verge of landing Barcelona winger Pedro on a £20m deal to replace Di Maria.

Executive vice chairman Ed Woodward is thought to be settling the deal, which will see Pedro become United's sixth signing of the summer.

Manager Louis van Gaal has already spent big since the end of last season with midfielders Morgan Schneiderlin, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Memphis Depay all arriving at Old Trafford.
