Sam and Nia are YouTube stars who sadly suffered a miscarriage over the weekend |
TRAGEDY has struck for the YouTube couple who announced they were having a baby last week.
Sam and Nia, an internet vlogging couple, announced they were expecting a baby last week after Sam pipetted a sample of Nia's urine out of the toilet onto a pregnancy test.
The pair were overjoyed in the video, announcing to the world and their two children Nia was two weeks' pregnant.
But tragedy has struck and the couple have since revealed Nia has suffered a miscarriage and lost their unborn baby.
Speaking on a blog on Saturday, the pair weep their way through the announcement and talk about their emotions very openly.
Nia began: "We were so happy, and we were just laughing. We were so overjoyed because it was such a huge celebrating. Then it was like bam, it hit us just like a bomb.
It was clearly an upsetting time for both Sam and Nia as they made their video |
"Those of you who have experience miscarriage before, I can relate now. I have felt my womb empty out. I never, ever knew that women felt that way."
"When you birth a baby, a baby that's full term, there's this relief when the baby comes out. As soon as I miscarried I took that deep breath and felt empty. The hardest part is knowing it's all gone."
Sam added: "We're so hurt but we're so thankful that god used us like this."
She then quoted the bible, saying: "Weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn."
Just last week, Sam posted a video blog of himself speaking directly to camera, crouched in the bathroom.
