He will stay! Rafael Benitez rules out £46m Arsenal move for French star Karim Benzema
Karim Benzema looks likely to stay at Real Madrid
REAL MADRID boss Rafael Benitez has reiterated his desire to keep hold of Karim Benzema amid talk of a £46m Arsenal bid.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium as Arsene Wenger attempts to bolster his strike force with doubts over Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud's capability.

But speaking at press conference ahead of the Audi Cup tournament in Germany featuring Madrid, Spurs, AC Milan and Bayern Munich, Benitez was unequivocal in his belief Benzema would stay.
He said: "He will stay with us, I can't see any reason why he would leave.

"We are very happy with him."
Following Arsenal's 1-0 Community Shield win over Chelsea yesterday, Wenger was asked about their chances of signing the French striker.
He replied: "No. Honestly no."

Benzema will not be taking part in the tournament after he "over-used his right thigh" in a training session.
Cristiano Ronaldo is also absent from the event but Manchester United targets Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale have been included in the squad.
Madrid begin their La Liga campaign against Sporting Gijon on Aug 23.
