Genoa want to sign Chelsea's Nathan Ake on loan |
GENOA are considering a loan offer for Chelsea defender Nathan Ake, according to reports.
The Serie A side are said to be scouring the Premier League for youth talents to bring in on loan.
They have already secured a two-year loan deal with Manchester City youngster Olivier Ntcham and want to secure Ake's services too, claim Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is understood they earmarked the Dutchman as an alternative transfer target to Ajax's Nicolai Boilesen, who is wanted by Aston Villa.
Boilesen, 23, rejected Genoa's approach and is understood to be keen on securing a switch to the Premier League.
And Genoa are reportedly keen to land Ake soon as interest in the defender increases from a number of Bundesliga clubs.
Ake, 20, made six Chelsea appearances in his debut season in 2012/13 and got one more run out in the next campaign.
He spent the back end of last term on loan at Championship side Reading, where he played 10 games, and returned to Stamford Bridge this summer.
And Gazzetta report that Genoa see the defender much in the same light as former Chelsea star Ruud Gullit, who played for Milan and Sampdoria during his 19-year career.
Were Ake to go on loan, he would become the 20th Blues player to be shipped out this summer.
High-profile names Mohamed Salah and Patrick Bamford have both found new clubs after spending last term on loan, while new signing Nathan has immediately been shipped out to Vitesse.
