MANCHESTER UNITED have been urged to resolve the David De Gea saga soon.
That is according to former Red Devils star Lou Macari.
De Gea has been tipped to join Real Madrid this summer, and is thought to be pining for a return to his native Spain.
Though the shot-stopper is a doubt for United's Premier League opener against Tottenham, Macari insists his old club must sort out De Gea's future before the new campaign begins.
"It is a big concern before the season starts,” Macari told talkSPORT.
“I have never known a top class goalkeeper like he is to be in this situation before.
"I would have thought things would have been signed and sealed by now.
“I don’t believe we are this late in pre-season and the two clubs are not really knowing what is going to happen.
"He is either heading for Spain or staying at Old Trafford but it has got to be sorted before you go into the game against Spurs on the opening day of the season.”
