KEVIN DE BRUYNE is expected to seal a £50million switch to Manchester City, according to reports.
The Belgian playmaker, who failed to make an impression at Chelsea, has been continually linked with a return to the Premier League.
City have been the frontrunners to sign the 24-year-old Wolfsburg star.
But De Bruyne's advisers were left furious after the player was asked to repeat a statement during an awards dinner in Hamburg.
However, according to The Sun, City look set to strike a deal.
They suggest the Citizens will pay £47m upfront, while add-ons will take the deal up to £50m.
De Bruyne joined Wolfsburg last year in an £18m deal.
