THOUSANDS of BT Broadband customers have reported OUTAGES with their home wifi and landlines across the UK. BT has confirmed it is experiencing problems with the network, and is hard at work on a fix.

Some BT customers are reporting that the issues with their broadband have now been fixed.
"Back online, had to restart the hub though," one BT customer posted on Facebook.
The number of customers reporting issues on DownDetector.uk has dropped, too.

BT broadband and landline customers have reported outages across the UK.
Independent website DownDetector.uk, which monitors "when services go down or have outages" based on social media chatter, reported a spike in the number of people complaining about BT phone network and broadband services at around 15:00 today.
Thousands of customers have reported outages in locations including London, Birmingham, Sheffield and Coventry.

Enraged BT customers flooded social media to complain about the outages.
"RIP BT broadband," one Twitter user posted.
"Reporting a BT broadband fault by phone.....'please try the website'....brilliant" one BT customer tweeted.
One Twitter user posted: "Apparently BT Broadband is really patchy all over the country right now. I didn't think it could get worse than it already is!"
One furious customer published a scathing public Facebook post that read, "Disgraceful Service, Sing and Dance about amazing service and broadband but yet can't even provide that!
"Quite happy to take our direct debit payments every month when you can't even provide a full or complete service package!
"Are you going to compensate all of your customers that have been affected? Or discount their bills?
"No probably not because BT are rip off merchants! Lost 3 hours of work because BT 'technical issues'."

BT broadband is currently trending across the UK as customers rallied behind the hashtag #BTdown.
"Sorry if you're experiencing network problems. Engineers are on site now. We will keep you updated," the firm tweeted from its official account.

A spokesperson for BT clarified: "Large numbers of customers have been experiencing temporary issues with their broadband services this afternoon.
"Customers can still receive and make calls as normal.
"We've been working hard to fix the issue and are glad to report that nearly every customer affected is now reconnected, approximately two hours after the problem started.
"We apologise to any affected customers for the inconvenience.
"There is no evidence at this stage to suggest that we were subject to a malicious attack."
