Fans respond to Petr Cech tweet after nightmare Arsenal league debut

PETR CECH endured a nightmare Premier League debut in an Arsenal shirt yesterday but fans swiftly came to his comfort.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper was blamed for conceding both goals in Arsenal's 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the Emirates.

Cheikhou Kouyate beat him to a cross to open the scoring in the first half, before Mauro Zarate wrong footed the stopper after the break.

Last night Cech tweeted: "First game like this was not in the script - Mistake and no points but tomorrow is another day to get ready for the next game! #COYG"
And fans leapt to comfort the goalkeeper, one insisting he is "still a world class keeper who will be missed by us Chelsea fans," even though others pointed the finger at the Czech international for the defeat.
