"On Monday, 1 in 7 people on Earth used Facebook to connect with their friends and family,”
“A more open and connected world is a better world.

Facebook has had a very good year with user numbers increasing steadily during 2015.
According to latest figures, the network now has an average of 968 million daily users and 1.49 billion monthly visitors.
Facebook was founded by Zuckerberg in 2004 and has seen meteroric rise to success.
In October 2012 the firm revealed that one billion people had Facebook accounts and earlier this year it claimed that over half of the world's online users visited the site at least once a month.
Facebook's challenge is how it continues that growth.
The social network is launching new products and services and recently announced its new Facebook M, a virtual assistant.
