Chelsea have seen their opening offer to sign Paul Pogba rejected |
CHELSEA'S move for Juventus star Paul Pogba hotted up tonight as they had an opening £60million players plus cash bid rejected.
Chelsea, who News News Blog Sport revealed this morning were set to move for the French international superstar, offered £23m-rated Colombian star Juan Cuadrado plus cash.
The Italian giants have rejected the opening bid, but Chelsea are expected to make a second offer.
Chelsea have already signed Barcelona forward Pedro this week in a £21.4m deal and Augsberg defender Baba Rahman in another £21 move.
They are expected to make a fourth £40m offer for Everton defender John Stones - but a move for Pogba would be a spectacular coup.
Juventus have handed the 22 year old the coveted No10 shirt worn by Michel Platini and Zinedine Zidane and do now want to sell - but Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is a big admirer.
Juventus want Cuadrado and also midfielder Oscar - but Chelsea at the moment are reluctant to sell the Brazilian.
