Everton star left-back Leighton Baines may be out of action until November
Leighton Baines will miss England’s Euro 2016 qualifiers with San Marino and Switzerland next month
LEIGHTON is facing surgery on an ankle injury this week amid fears the Everton left-back could be sidelined until November.

An operation would mean that Baines has effectively been out for six months having first gone under the knife at the end of last season.

Baines underwent repair work to his right ankle back in May in an attempt to cure a long-standing problem, but Everton fear he will have to have the same operation again following a freak training ground accident.
The England international was blocking a cross in training last Thursday when the impact of the ball hit him in the same area in which the ligaments have just been strengthened.

His recovery from the original surgery was scheduled to take up to 12 weeks and the worst case scenario is for a repeat of that.
Baines will miss England’s Euro 2016 qualifiers with San Marino and Switzerland next month, while he is already doubtful for the games against Estonia and Lithuania in October.
