Alen Halilovic could be set for a loan move from Barcelona

BARCELONA youngster Alen Halilovic is in talks with Sporting over a loan move, according to their manager Abelardo.

 

Halilovic is one of world football's most sought-after talents and has been heavily linked with Manchester United and Manchester City.

The Croatian youngster was also thought to be discussing a temporary switch with Hamburg and Abelardo says he will make a decision on his future shortly.

 

“I have spoken with Halilovic to tell him what I expect of him,” he said.

"He is a player that will add [something] because there is nothing similar in the squad. If he comes we will be delighted to receive him and if not, [we hope that] he has good luck wherever he goes.”

 

Halilovic is already a full international and has seven Croatia caps.

While yet to make a senior appearance for Barca, he played 30 times for Barcelona B last season, scoring four goals.

The Spanish giants signed him from Dinamo Zagreb in 2012 for a fee of around £1.7million.

He made his debut for them as a 16-year-old and played 44 times in two years, netting seven times.
