Publishers Bandai Namco have confirmed that there would be more emphasis on story and exploration in Dark Souls 3, although it is still unclear how these aspects could affect the overall feel of the game.
The new footage also all but confirmed that the giant knight featured in the E3 trailer would indeed be an epic boss battle in-game.
One short clip featured the character battling a huge enemy within a cave, surely a sign to come that these style of combat situations a set to be peppered throughout Dark Souls 3.
