Chelsea In Crisis: Blues owner Roman Abramovich furious with boss Jose Mourinho
Eva Carneiro has seen her role as Chelsea's first-team doctor downgraded
ROMAN ABRAMOVICH is reportedly furious with Jose Mourinho over his public criticism of team doctor Eva Carneiro.

Mourinho criticised Carneiro and the Chelsea medical team in the wake of his side's 2-2 draw with Swansea on Saturday.
But according to reports, the Chelsea boss' clash with the female doctor was not the first time the two had clashed.

And the Daily Mail claim Blues owner Abramovich is angry with Mourinho for his courting of controversy by hitting out at a senior employee on television and radio.

Club officials are now said to be in crisis mode amid concerns Carneiro could seek a public apology from the Portuguese tactician and even sue for constructive dismissal.

Mourinho has been widely criticised for his comments, behaviour and treatment of the 41-year-old Gibraltar-born doc.

Carneiro saw her role as Chelsea's first-team doctor downgraded after Mourinho fumed at her running on the pitch to treat star man Eden Hazard during the draw with Swansea.

"Even if you are a kit man, doctor or secretary on the bench, you have to understand the game," he said.

"You have to know you have one player less and when you go to the pitch to assist a player, you have to make sure your player has a serious injury.

"I was sure he hadn't a serious problem. He had a knock, he was very tired. But my medical department - on an impulse - was naive and left me with eight outfield players in a counter-attack after a set piece."

Carneiro has been accused of being "naive" after taking to Facebook to comment: "I would like to thank the general public for their overwhelming support. Really very much appreciated."
