Hernanes appears to be on the brink of moving from Inter Milan to Juventus |
JUVENTUS have agreed to pay £8million to sign Hernanes from Serie A rivals Inter Milan, according to reports in Italy.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim the deal could be part of a transfer merry-go-round, as Inter agreed to sell their star following the capture of Felipe Melo from Galatasaray.
And the news could come as a boost for Chelsea, who are still chasing Juve star Paul Pogba.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho refused to discuss the possibility of a move for Pogba but is understood to retain an interest nonetheless.
As Express Sport exclusively revealed, the Frenchman is demanding wages of around £300,000 a week to move to Stamford Bridge.
And while that could be a stumbling block, Hernanes moving to the Serie A giants could soften the blow for Juve if they do lose one of their midfield stars.
The Brazilian can operate across the midfield and was the shining light in a struggling Inter side last season.
Since moving from Lazio in 2014, the 30-year-old has made 39 Serie A appearances for Roberto Mancini's side and scored seven goals.
A Brazilian international, Hernanes has represented his country on 27 occasions and found the back of the net twice.
