Augsburg chief: £21.7m Abdul Rahman Baba 'is a Chelsea player'

Abdul Rahman Baba is on the verge of joining Chelsea

AUGSBURG have confirmed that defender Abdul Rahman Baba has signed for Chelsea.

 

The Blues have been in the market for a new left-back after selling Filipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer.

The 21-year-old, who reportedly passed a medical last week, is believed to have agreed a five-year deal at the Premier League champions.

 

And now Augsburg Commercial Manager Stefan Reuter has confirmed the transfer, which will cost the Blues a reported £21.7million.

He told Bild: "The contracts between Augsburg and Chelsea are signed. Baba is now a Chelsea player."
