Arsene Wenger tells Arsenal star 'you're surplus to requirements'
Mathieu Flamini has been told he can leave Arsenal this summer
MATHIEU FLAMINI has reportedly been told to he can leave Arsenal this summer.

The 31-year-old returned to the Emirates on a three-year deal in 2013 from AC Milan after a previous spell at the club between 2004 and 2008.
After initially impressing, the Frenchman has since slipped down the pecking order despite the departure of About Diaby.

And the emergence of Francis Coquelin, who returned from loan at Charlton last season, has kept Flamini out of the starting XI ever since.
According to Goal.com, the defensive midfielder has been told he can leave the club this summer, despite having a year left to run on his contract.

The report adds that he has requested Arsenal pay him a portion of what he stands to earn in his final year to cover any loss of wages, should he leave.
Flamini made 32 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal last season but hasn't started a Premier League game since December 2014.
