Arsenal 1 - Chelsea 0: Gunners lift Community Shield to break Wenger's 13-game curse
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the only goal of the game
ARSENE WENGER broke the Jose Mourinho curse as his Arsenal side lifted the Community Shield.

Petr Cech shut out his old team-mates as he faced Chelsea for the first time since his switch to the Emirates, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's superb first-half strike was enough to settle the tie.
Wenger has never beaten Mourinho in 13 attempts but the England winger settled any early nerves.

A flying start saw both sides fashion early openings but their was little Thibaut Courtois could do about the opener.
Chamberlain jinked through before slamming home with is left foot to spark jubilant scenes on the Gunners' bench.
Loic Remy was preferred to Radamel Falcao in the Chelsea attack but he failed to have an impact as they sought to hit back and was caught offside four times the first half.
In fact, Chelsea failed to land a shot on target in the opening 45 minutes.
Even when they did test Cech, the former Blues man was more than up to the task as he pushed substitute Oscar's free-kick wide in the second half.
And Santi Cazorla might have made it even more comfortable as he missed from close range and Aaron Ramsey nearly put some icing on the cake with a chipped effort from the rebound late on.
If this was meant to be friendly competition there were now signs as Kieran Gibbs's ugly challenge on Falcao almost sparked some on-field confrontation as the clash came to a close.
But it hardly mattered to Wenger, who will now turn his attention to laying the Mourinho demons to rest in the Premier League as well.
