IT'S usually reserved for newborn babies but this man enjoys a pint of breast milk.
Danny Davidson, a 32-year-old personal trainer from Essex, drinks 100ml of the thick liquid several times a week to compliment his training regime.
"It's like marmite, you either love it or you hate it." While it sounds like fun and games, the personal trainer risks infection from hepatitis and HIV at every sip as he buys his milk from strangers around the world on a website dedicated to the unusual fad. Danny explained: "I've noticed a difference since I started drinking breast milk, I feel a lot stronger and a lot bigger. "I'm very aware it can be dangerous but I don't screen it and I just take a chance." While his wife Debbie is happy for her husband of three years to spend 20 to 40 a week on the gloopy liquid, she is worried about the dangers he faces. But for Danny the risks associated with his tipple of choice are worth taking. Since the pair met nine years ago Danny's chest size has soared from a medium to an XXL. He said: "I was in the gym and I had been bitten by the bug I was obsessed with getting big. I didn't want to take steroids to get big because Ive seen the effects it can have on you in your old age. "There were these big rugby guys at the gym and they said they drank breast milk to build muscle. I couldn't believe it. I was shocked and a little bit skeptical that it would work." The PT believes the growth hormones in breast milk are beneficial for building muscle in a similar way to helping babies grow. His strict exercise regime sees him training at least three hours a day, using weights and cardio to bulk up his muscle and shed his fat. The gruelling workouts are supplemented with a high-protein diet of steak, raw eggs, chicken and breast milk. Although some may be squeamish Danny says he doesn't mind the taste, instead of masking the unique flavour with cereal or a protein shake the dedicated fitness fanatic chugs the thick liquid down in one go. As well as ordering online from around the world, Danny also buys his supply from a network of trusted women in north London, but Debbie would rather he drink her own once the couple have children. She said: "When he first told me he was going to drink breast milk I thought he was joking. "It grosses me out because it looks a bit thick, I thought it would be more runny than that. But I dont really pay attention to it now, Im used to it." While Debbie turns her nose up at the thought of her husband drinking other woman's breast milk, she is pleased with the results. She said: "I like that he's quite big and as Im quite small I feel safe with him. He's like my protector."
The fitness buff believes breast is best when it comes to building muscle - citing the idea that milk contains growth hormones to accelerate his bulk.
Despite the lack of scientific evidence to support his theory Danny claims it is the secret to his toned physique.
Having said this Danny has revealed he is endlessly mocked by his friends, who have even nicknamed him Bitty, after the popular Little Britain character.
He said: "Im not hurting anyone by drinking it. Some of my clients have been interested in trying it but others think its disgusting.
