HOMESICK dad Wayne Rooney took to Instagram earlier today to send a heartfelt message to his adorable family.
The 29-year-old footballing ace has been in America training with Manchester United ahead of the return of the Premiere League.
The England captain shared a snap of himself with his wife Coleen, 29, and their children, Kai, five, and Klay, three. Alongside the adorable picture, Wayne wrote: "Can't wait to see these three later." The family of four is soon set to become a family of five, as Coleen and Wayne recently announced they are expecting their third child.
At the beginning of July, Coleen took to Twitter to inform her fans she was expecting.
She made the announcement after some eagle-eyed fans spotted Coleen was sporting a slightly more rotund figure than usual while holidaying in the Caribbean.
"Baby number three is on the way... January," she said. "We are so happy and excited."
The Manchester United captain mimicked his wife of seven years by sharing the news with his own followers.
"Delighted that me and @ColeenRoo have our 3rd child on the way," the footballer added.
However, the distance between Wayne and his loved ones appears to have been getting his down as he posted a sweet tribute to them on the picture sharing site.
