<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft has updated its online store with some powerful new hardware – and a new colour for its Surface Pen.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The US technology firm will now ship two new Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 models, both with 1TB of storage, an Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Unfortunately these top-tier variations are currently only available in the US and Canada – and are extremely pricey.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft's top-tier Surface Book is priced at $3,199, some £2230 converted, and the most powerful Surface Pro 4 at $2,699, £1880 converted.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Redmond company <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2016/01/surface-book-now-available-to-pre-order.html">made the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 available to pre-order in the UK earlier this month</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2016/01/surface-book-now-available-to-pre-order.html">The first batch of Surface Book pre-orders will ship by February 18th</a>, according to the Microsoft website.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Prices start from £1,299, which includes 128GB of internal storage, an Intel i5 processor and 8GB of RAM.</div>

The latest refresh to the Microsoft Store also brought a new gold version of its Surface Pen.</div>

The stylish aluminium laptop <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/surface-book-microsoft-admits-its.html">– the first to be designed and built by Microsoft itself –</a> was announced last October, <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/surface-pro-4-windows-10-threshold-band.html">alongside the Microsoft Band 2, Lumia 950 series and Surface Pro 4</a>.</div>

Microsoft opened up pre-orders to UK customers at 12:01am last night via the Microsoft Store, as well as Curry's PC World.</div>

Those prices are inevitably going to draw comparisons with Apple's netbook range, something Microsoft embraced at its launch event.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Microsoft Surface Book has the highest resolution display of any laptop – a stunning 13.5-inch PixelSense display with some six millions pixels, or 267 pixels-per-inch.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For comparison, Google's Chromebook Pixel, a previous record holder, has 239 pixels-per-inch. The <a href="http://go.ad2up.com/afu.php?id=451019" rel="nofollow">Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display has 226ppi</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The stunning display on the Surface Book can also be detached thanks to the Muscle Wire Lock technology in the new hinge, dubbed "dynamic fulcrum hinge", <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/surface-pro-4-review-microsoft-has.html">transforming it into a Surface tablet</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The bundled Surface Pen, <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/surface-pro-4-review-microsoft-has.html">the same redesigned model that ships with the new Surface Pro 4 two-in-one hybrid</a>, can also be used to draw, navigate and annotate on the eye-wateringly sharp display.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The display can also be re-attached so that the display is facing away from the keyboard, if you need to use the laptop in a presentation mode, or use the keyboard base to hold the touchscreen display at an angle.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Navigating around the Windows 10 operating system is controlled through the multi-touch glass trackpad.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft's "ultimate laptop" also includes a chiclet keyboard, with backlit keys which the Redmond firm say are "perfect" for typing and are almost silent when in use.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Data transfer is handled by two USB 3.0 ports, but there is no sign of the new Type-C variation. An SD card slot is also built into the laptop, which sports 12 hours battery life.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"We're moving people from needing to choosing to loving Windows, and these devices promise to fuel even more enthusiasm and opportunity for the entire Windows ecosystem," Chief Executive Satya Nadella announced, during the unveiling of the Surface Book in New York City, last year.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Surface Book will also be available to pre-order in Austria, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand and Switzerland and Australia today.</div>

 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
MICROSOFT confirmed it is aware of problems with its Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 devices – and is hard at work to resolve them as fast as possible.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When Microsoft unveiled its Surface Book at the Windows 10 devices event back in October, <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com.ng/2015/10/surface-book-microsoft-reckons-its.html">it dubbed the device the "the Ultimate Laptop".</a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
And <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/surface-book-microsofts-eye-watering.html">with prices spiralling up to $3,199 for the souped-up Intel Core i7, 1TB model</a> – it should be.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Every iteration of the Surface Book – <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com.ng/2015/11/microsoft-surface-book-is-sort-of.html">which was recently branded 'deluded' by Apple</a> – sports a 13.5-inch touchscreen display with a maximum 3000 x 2000 pixels resolution.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
At a colossal 267 pixels-per-inch the Surface Book boasts the highest resolution laptop display to-date.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

Unfortunately the Surface Book is not yet available in the UK, but early customers are prorating a number of issues with the Surface Book, including flickering displays, system instability and power problems.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft quickly responded by releasing a slew of firmware and software updates within weeks of the release of the new device.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But none of the fixes appear to have resolved the Surface Book's power management troubles.</div>

Users have flooded social media and support forums to complain about the Surface Book not switching into sleep or stand-by mode when the lip is closed – leaving the $3,199 laptop to slowly drain power.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Worse still – a Surface engineering manager told <a href="http://wap.engadget.com/2015/12/15/microsoft-surface-book-pro-4-issues/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><em>Engadget</em></a> that the issues would not be fixed until 2016.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Earlier this month, Microsoft publicly apologised to Surface owners who had had a "less-than-perfect experience" with their devices.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
"We’re sorry for any frustration this has caused," Microsoft posted on its up port forums, "Please know that we're reading your comments and hearing you loud and clear. Your input is incredibly valuable."</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Granted, it's not unusual for new hardware or product categories to exhibit growing pains and glitches in their earliest iterations.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft is not offering customers a special support path for Surface Book owners, but people experiencing trouble can always walk into a nearby Microsoft Store to resolve the issues.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Redmond technology firm also offers phone and online support, too.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The timing of these hardware issues is a little unfortunate, especially following the slew of bugs, glitches and <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/09/windows-10-microsoft-is-recording.html">controversial data collection policies</a> unearthed in Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 10.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

Microsoft clearly wants to <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/12/windows-10-major-changes-coming-in.html">resolve many of these issues with its next major Redstone update, too</a>.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
MICROSOFT has launched a new webpage to teach MacBook owners to migrate from OS X the first ever Microsoft laptop, the Surface Book.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/surface-book-microsofts-eye-watering.html">Despite its eye-watering price tag,</a> it's clear the Surface Book is <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/surface-book-microsoft-has-massive.html">selling <em>really</em> well</a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But how does Microsoft's first ever laptop appeal to? Well, Apple fanboys apparently.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft has launched <a href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/switch/mac-surface" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a new page on its website</a> designed to help MacBook owners migrate to the latest gadget from Redmond.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's a logical move from Microsoft, <a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/surface-pro-4-windows-10-threshold-band.html">which spent the majority of the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book launch event</a> comparing its hardware directly to its Apple counterparts.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
At 13.5-inches the Surface Book is a direct competitor to the 13-inch Macbook Pro – however Microsoft claims its new laptop is twice as fast as Apple's best.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The new Microsoft support page offers a range of tips for MacBook owners who are preparing to make the switch to the Surface Book.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It includes instructions on how to move your photo library, files and emails from a Mac to the Surface Book.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Cloud based and local content is covered, with Microsoft includes links to download iCloud for Windows, as well as detailing which external hard-drive formats are compatible with both operating systems.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft has included a detailed guide on how to export images from the new Apple Photos app and import it into the Windows 10.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">

For comparison, Google's Chromebook Pixel, a previous record holder, has just 239 pixels-per-inch. The Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display has 226ppi.<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That pixel-packed display can also be detached from the chiclet-style keyboard and used as a lightweight tablet.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The stunning display on the Surface Book can also be detached thanks to the Muscle Wire Lock technology in the new hinge.</div>

<a href="http://newsnewsblog.blogspot.com/2015/10/surface-book-microsoft-has-massive.html">NewsNewsBlog.blogspot.com previously reported that the Redmond technology giant had stopped taking orders for its first laptop,</a> indicating a high demand for the new device.</div>

A listing on the Microsoft Store website has revealed the existence of a high-powered 1TB Surface Book.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But the steep $3,200 (£2,069) price tag will make you wince.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There’s further bad news for those after Microsoft’s shiny new toy as availability is currently only limited to those living in the US.</div>

Surface Book: Microsoft reckons its first ever laptop is the BEST laptop ever built</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The US technology firm announced its first laptop, the Microsoft Surface Book, which sports a detachable display with a staggering six million pixels and all-day battery life.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft said it wanted to kill the laptop with its Surface Pro 3 hybrid at its event last year – but now it appears the company really wants to make laptops instead.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The Redmond company has called its new device "the Ultimate Laptop".</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
 </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Surface Book, which starts from an $1,499 – some £980 converted – but the top-of-the-line Surface Book with a 512GB SSD, Core i7 with 16GB will cost an eye-watering $2,699 – a staggering £1760.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Microsoft justified the Apple-<em>esque</em> pricing by saying that its new laptop is TWICE as fast as Apple's MacBook Pro.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It also has the highest resolution display of any laptop thanks to its stunning 13.5-inch PixelSense display with a 267 pixels-per-inch resolution.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
For comparison, Google's Chromebook Pixel, a previous record holder, has just 239 pixels-per-inch. The Apple MacBook Pro with Retina Display has 226ppi.</div>
