Bobby Zamora scored a late winner in Brighton's 2-1 win over Bristol City |
BOBBY ZAMORA struck another late winner as Brighton extended their unbeaten league run to 12 games, beating Bristol City 2-1.
Zamora’s last-minute goal secured victory at Leeds on Saturday and the former England striker did it again after Sam Baldock had levelled for the home side following Derrick Williams’ opening goal.
Baldock made up for a number of missed first-half chances when he slid in to meet Bruno Saltor’s cross in the 53rd minute, ending a drought that started in August as he scored against his old club.
Zamora, inset, hammered home a loose ball in the 82nd minute to claim the points as Chris Hughton’s side recovered after falling behind for only the second time in the league this season.

Sheffield Wednesday were left angry after Clint Hill remained on the pitch despite two highly controversial challenges on an otherwise subdued night at Loftus Road, with the game ending 0-0.
First the QPR defender fouled Modou Sougou but despite being last man not even a free-kick was given.
Then Hill, making his first appearance since August, appeared to bring down sub Lucas Joao in the area but it was again unpunished.
This was another bad night for QPR, and there is real pressure on manager Chris Ramsey with his own fans chanting "you don't know what you're doing."
Guy Luzon was left clinging on to his job after Paul Gallagher piled on the misery for the Charlton manager, helping Preston to a 3-0 win.
After an eight-match winless streak, Preston were inspired by Gallagher who curled home a free-kick in the second minute to set the tone.
Preston then missed some great chances until Gallagher showed the way by rifling in from a tight angle in the 36th minute. And there was no way back once Daniel Johnson curled home a shot in the 62nd minute.
Alex Bruce scored for the first time in five years to help Hull to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ipswich. On-loan Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom also scored while midfielder David Meyler fired in a spectacular volley.
