Pep Guardiola to go to Manchester United and and take Barcelona star with him
Pep Guardiola has chosen Old Trafford as his destination when he leaves Bayern Munich this summer, according to reports.
The 45-year-old has announced that he will step down from his current job at Munich but has yet to reveal where he will manage next.
But reports in Spain claim Guardiola has chosen Manchester United and wants to take Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo to Old Trafford with him.
Current United keeper David De Gea is a long-term target for Real Madrid and although the Manchester club are desperate to hang onto the Spaniard, their potential new boss already has a plan in place should he leave.
Bravo is the first-choice goalkeeper at Barca but Marc-Andre Ter Stegen takes the gloves for the Champions League games, a situation which has left the 32-year-old apparently disillusioned with life at the Nou Camp.
Franco Vasquez 'ready' for move to Liverpool or Man United
Former Palermo coach Davide Ballardini believes Franco Vasquez deserves a move to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old scored ten times for Palermo in Serie A last year and has reportedly attracted interest from both Tottenham and Southampton.
But his former boss Ballardini, who was sacked by Palermo earlier this month, believes Vasquez should aim even higher.
"Vazquez? He is ready for a big team, with his quality [he] deserves a big European club like Liverpool or Manchester United," he told Italian outlet Mediaset Premium.
Ex-Chelsea man backs Jose Mourinho for Old Trafford job
Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer believes Jose Mourinho would be the perfect fit at Manchester United.
The Australian stopper arrived at Old Trafford just a month after Mourinho was appointed for his second spell in charge of the club.
Schwarzer made just 12 appearances for the Blues, but told talkSPORT that his former boss' experience is key to success at United.
"He is a world class manager," Schwarzer said.
"His experience, his knowledge of the game and his understanding of the Premier League, which Van Gaal has only had for the last 18 months, would be invaluable to United.
"Mourinho has proven time and time again wherever he has been that he has brought almost immediate success to clubs. His record speaks for itself."
