Liverpool star returns from long injury lay-off
Jon Flanagan is close to returning for Liverpool after a long injury lay-off

The 23-year-old full-back has been sidelined by a knee injury for almost two years.
The Liverpool Echo report that Jurgen Klopp will consider selecting Flanagan for Wednesday's FA Cup third-round replay at home to Exeter.
He's come through matches with Liverpool's Under-21s in recent weeks and he could make his first competitive appearance since Newcastle visited Anfield on the final day of the 2013/14 season.

Flanagan played 23 times in the Premier League that season under Brendan Rodgers, when Liverpool narrowly missed out on the winning the title.
His form earned him an England call-up just before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and he was on the standby list before the tournament kicked off.
The following pre-season is when Flanagan first started to have knee problems when he was hampered by fluid in his left knee during Liverpool's tour of America.

His rehabilitation took much longer than anticipated after he underwent surgery in September 2014.
Another operation in April 2015 was required to repair cartilage in the knee joint but after nearly 90 weeks without first-team football, Flanagan is back to boost a Liverpool team rocked by an injury crisis.
His current deal with the club expires in the summer and he's due an opportunity with the Reds short of established fit defenders.
