ALEXANDRE PATO is back on Liverpool's radar, according to reports in Italy.
Pato, who played for AC Milan until 2012, is available for a move this month with Brazilian club Corinthians desperate to ship him out.
They sent him to city rivals Sao Paulo on loan because they couldn't afford his wages but now want him gone permanently.
Pato is keen on a move to England and has been touted around all the top clubs.
He was even spotted at Stamford Bridge taking in a Chelsea game during a visit where he conducted interviews with England newspapers.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham and even West Ham have been linked but according to Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb Liverpool are ready to pay his £11million fee.
Jurgen Klopp is keen for January additions after an inconsistent start to life at Anfield.
He has been hit with an injury crisis, and while the defence has been most effected, he is also keen for attacking reinforcements.
Daniel Sturridge has been out for most of the season and has hardly played under Klopp while Christian Benteke appears to be struggling to get to grips with the German's philosophy.
Pato, 26, may be worth the gamble with the fee around a third of what the Reds paid Villa for Benteke.
He left Europe in 2012 but is ready for a return.
"Before I came to Italy to play for Milan in 2007, I saw in the papers that my name was mentioned in connection with some English clubs.," he told the Daily Mail in December.
"I was told Chelsea were interested then but my dream was to play with Ronaldo. When Milan called my manager, I wanted to go there to make my dreams of playing with Ronaldo and Maldini come true.
"But one day I knew I would like to come to England because I think the championship is the number one in the world. It is very competitive.
"I like the emotion in the English league. You look at the TV and you see the stadium and the fans. I remember that when we played Arsenal, they were very strong and very fast. My special thing is my speed. I’m fast. I think that’s good because the football here is very quick.
"I don’t think the physical part of English football would be a problem. When you get the ball, you need to be ready. The defenders here are very tough but I like that. I have spoken to Willian, Firmino, Coutinho and David Luiz before.
"I think Brazilian players can play here. You mix talent and intelligence and Brazilian players can play here."
