KEVIN DE BRUYNE is optimistic that he will recovery quickly from the knee injury he sustained against Everton, according to his agent.

Kevin De Bruyne back at Manchester City training ground just one day after knee scare
De Bruyne left the field stricken with pain but seems to already be feeling better

The Manchester City forward came on as a substitute in their Capital One Cup semi-final victory over Everton last night.
But the Belgian international did not finish the game as he was carried off the field on a stretcher and given oxygen after twisting his knee.
But despite leaving the ground on crutches, De Bruyne's agent Patrick De Koster claims the 24-year-old is planning a swift recovery.

"According to Kevin it was slightly less severe than it looked on TV," De Koster told Belgian website Sporza.
"He said to me: 'I am optimistic. I heard a slight crack, but do not think it is the medial or cruciate ligaments. I'd rather think of a sprain, both my knee and my ankle.'
"He was so optimistic this morning and just went to the training ground. There, further tests done.

"I think he will call me back around noon to give more news."
The news will come as a relief to Manuel Pellegrini especially after his £54million signing proved the difference between the two sides last night.

Having come on after 66 minutes, De Bruyne scored the go-ahead goal and provided the cross for Sergio Aguero to make it 3-1 as City overcame a one-goal first-leg deficit.
And De Bruyne will now hope to play a key role in the title run-in with City just three points of Premier League leaders Leicester and level with Arsenal.
