GUUS HIDDINK has revealed when he is planning on leaving Chelsea.
The Dutchman was appointed as interim manager in December 2015 when Jose Mourinho was sacked after a disastrous start to their Premier League title defence, bringing him to the club for the second time.
And while senior players asked Hiddink to stay last time after he guided the side to FA Cup success, the 69-year-old has revealed that he will resist any offers the club might land on his desk.
"I have two dates in my mind, May 21 and May 28, which is the FA Cup final and the Champions League final," Hiddink said.
"Then it’s finished and I can go home on May 29.
"We made it very clear that at the end of this period then I will stop."
Hiddink remains the bookmakers' favourite to be in charge of Chelsea on the first day of next season.
However, with Pep Guardiola confirming that he will be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season and that he is interesting in a move to the Premier League, the ex-Barcelona boss will be high up Roman Abramovich's list if Hiddink does leave in May.
But he will face stiff competition from Manchester City and Manchester United, both of whom are expected to dispense with their current incumbents if the Spaniard agrees to take over.
Other candidates for the Chelsea coach include sacked Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and Antonio Conte, who runs the Italian national team.
