ARSENAL must win the Premier League this season or they may have to wait another decade before achieving Premier League glory, says Jamie Carragher.
The Gunners top the table going into 2016 after a promising first-half to the season in the league that also saw them scrape though to the last-16 of the Champions League.
Only four points separate Arsenal and rivals Tottenham in fourth place, with Leicester and Manchester second and third.
And Carragher believes this is Arsene Wenger's best chance to win their first league crown in 12 years, and failure to capitalise on their bright start could spell a long wait for silverware for the Arsenal faithful.
"If Arsenal don't win it this year, I think it could be another 10 years before they win it again," Carragher told Sky Sports.
"Chelsea won't accept the situation they're in, they'll throw a lot of money at it in the summer, they'll get another manager. I think Man City may do the same even if they win it.
"I think Manchester United, talking about Louis van Gaal, looking at the squad – is it good enough? So those three teams, they've all faltered.
"This is Arsenal's big chance, they have to take it. Whether that means spending again in January... but this is an opportunity they can't let slip."
