ASTON VILLA are poised to take Switzerland skipper Gokhan Inler from Leicester.

Gokhan Inler wants to leave Leicester for first team football ahead of Euro 2016

The 31-year-old is out of the picture at the league leaders after his £5million move from Napoli in the summer.
Inler has only made two starts and is desperate for first-team football in his bid to lead the Swiss at Euro 2016 in the summer.
Villa boss Remi Garde will explore ways to get the midfielder in to try to save his side from relegation.

"I am aware of his situation. I know him well and every player who has his eyes on the Euros wants to be playing," said Garde, who has laughed off suggestions he is putting his struggling Aston Villa stars through hell.
The French boss has changed the training schedules but insists his new regime is more M&S than SAS and any notions that he is a hard taskmaster are way off the mark, even if he has shaken up the coaching staff and brought in his own top man.
"Someone told me in the first press conference that we were the bottom team for running stats in the Premier League," said Garde.
"Football is not only about running but I am sure the training sessions I do are not the hardest in Europe. I would bet a lot of money on that.

"Football is about running and fighting and if you are not prepared to do that you can't do it. Maybe it's different but it's not harder."
Garde underlined he had been brought in to do a job and he would see it was done his way.
"I know that if everything was well before I arrived then I wouldn't be here," he said. "I'm not here to say to players, 'What do you want to do?' I'm here to say how we can improve the team and I have a job to propose some different aspects in the way we prepare for the games.

"If some players don't agree with that then they will come to me and say they don't want to do it, but at the moment nobody has done that."
Villa are at the foot of the table with a miserable seven points after just one win all season and Garde has set his team a target of 10 wins target to avoid the drop.
"I don't know exactly but I think we need at least 10 victories," he said. "Sometimes 36 points can be enough to be safe but it's not a definite thing.
"What I do know is we need to start very quickly for sure. It would be great to start against West Ham. That would be the best gift I could find for my players, but I don't believe too much in gifts so we have to rely on ourselves to find a solution."
