Pep Guardiola Manchester United snub: Board would back Louis van Gaal over Spaniard
Pep Guardiola has expressed an interest in a Manchester move
MANCHESTER UNITED would not hire Pep Guardiola even if he were to become available when his contract expires at the end of the season.

And Louis van Gaal can expect the board to put their money where their mouth next summer by giving the Dutch manager £200million to spend, according to the Sun.
Guardiola, whose Bayern Munich side lost their first Bundesliga game of the season yesterday but still sit first, has yet to renew his deal in Germany, and looks set not to do so.
The Spaniard has expressed an interest in a move to Old Trafford, having previously been in charge at Barcelona, but executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and the board are understood to be full behind Van Gaal.

With the 64-year-old still in charge, United are planning another busy summer in the transfer market, despite having allowed Van Gaal to spend in excess of £250million since his appointment.
United are interested in a marquee signing after Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial, this year's big transfers, have failed to make the desire impact on the attacking unit.

The Red Devils' 2015 defensive style has far from satisfied the Old Trafford faithful, but the club's hierarchy are hoping that a big name signing next summer will placate them.
Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale are both top of the list, but they have also been linked with Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben, and Neymar.
