Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reveals how he was wrong about Leicester and Claudio Ranieri
Jose Mourinho admits he was wrong about Leicester
JOSE MOURINHO has revealed that Leicester have changed his mind and he now believes they can do “something magnificent” and win the Premier League.

The Chelsea manager initially dismissed the Foxes’ chances as nothing more than a freak start to the season and anticipated them dropping back down the table as the season progressed.
However, after a November in which Claudio Ranieri won manager of the month and Jamie Vardy won the player award, Mourinho uncharacteristically has had to admit he was wrong.
“Well, first of all they deserve to be where they are,” he said.

“Let's be honest. I told a couple of weeks ago I don't believe they can be champions. Maybe I have to think twice before saying that again.
“One thing is to be top of the league in September after a beautiful start. To be top of the league in December is a completely different story.
“It would be something magnificent, something to impress the football world, but sometimes these things can happen.”

Moreover, he feels manager of the month is not enough recognition for Ranieri’s achievement.
“I think Claudio has won manager of the month – I think he should win more than that,” Mourinho added.
“I think he should be made manager of the half-term, if that existed in football. If you could give an award for the first six months of competition, everybody is miles away from him. And every club is miles away from what Leicester is doing.
“I know the difference between Leicester and Manchester United, Arsenal is a difference of two or three points but Leicester are the ones who deserve all this respect and all these compliments. Fantastic work.”
