ARSENE WENGER insists Arsenal's class of 2016 have the mentality to break the club's New Year's Day jinx and claim the title.

Tomorrow morning will be the fourth time in the last 14 years that Arsenal have topped the table on the first morning of a New Year. But not once have they gone on to lift the Premier League trophy come May.
By contrast, since 2005, any time Manchester United, Manchester City or Chelsea have been top on New Year's Day, they have not let anybody catch them.
Liverpool in 2009 are the only team apart from Arsenal in the last 11 years to top the New Year table and not be crowned champions.
But Wenger said: "You question our mentality, I don't. Of course people question us. The public opinion is not always stable, it changes a lot.
"We have to rise above that and show that we can deal with all that and I believe we have to be guided by playing better football and being a real team in every game and show that we can be competitive.
"We can have great solidarity in every single game and after that we have a chance. You cannot rule us out after 19 games.
"We have a chance and we want to fight for it. I believe that we are mature enough and that we have the necessary quality to fight and compete."
