A PARIS survivor has told the incredible story of how his phone blocked a deadly piece of flying shrapnel.
Sylvestre was outside the Stade de France when two suicide bombs exploded at the entrances of France’s national stadium.
He had just hung up his phone when he heard a huge explosion.
Sylvestre said: “I was crossing the street and straight away, boom, it exploded right in front of me.
“Everything was blown to bits and I felt stuff flying around and I left, I fell and then I got back up.
“So this is the mobile phone that took the hit, it's what saved me.
“Otherwise my head would have been blown to pieces.”
He added: “It’s a miracle. I wouldn’t wish this on anybody.”
The screen of his Samsung phone, which took the brunt of the impact, was shattered and bent out of shape.
Three people were killed in the explosions outside the stadium in Saint Denis.
