Ismail Omar Mostefai has been named as one of the gunmen

ONE of the gunmen responsible for the Paris massacre on Friday night has been named as Ismail Omar Mostefai.

The 29-year-old was one of three men to storm the Bataclan theatre during a rock concert, according to reports.
It is believed he is of Algerian origin and had a criminal record but had not spent time in jail.
His brother and father have been taken into police custody, and their homes have been searched.
Mostefai's older brother reportedly claimed he had not had contact with his younger brother for several years.
He was quoted as saying: "It's crazy, insane. I was in Paris myself last night, I saw what a mess it was."
