Tony Pulis has no desire to sell James Chester in January |
WEST BROM boss Tony Pulis has told unsettled defender James Chester that he won't be sold in January and to be patient in his pursuit of first-team football.
Chester joined the Baggies from Hull in the summer for £8million, but hasn't started in the Premier League since the opening game of the season.
Reports have since surfaced that the Wales international, a product of Manchester United's famed academy, will consider his future in January.
But Pulis has moved quickly to end the speculation, claiming Chester is not for sale after holding talks with the 26-year-old centre-half.
The Albion boss insists Chester will continue to be an important player at The Hawthorns as his side prepare for Saturday's visit of Arsenal.

He said: "I've spoken with him and he's absolutely fine. James wants to play and I understand that, but he's a very important member of the squad.
"There are no problems and we are looking forward to this weekend's game against Arsenal."
