Microsoft unveiled two new devices at Surface Pro 4 event in New York City
MICROSOFT has revealed when smartphones owners can expect to get their hands on the latest version of its Windows operating system.

Microsoft has announced a slew of new devices, including an update to the Surface Pro and the Microsoft Band, as well as a brand new laptop and two new Lumia smartphones.
Both the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL will ship with Windows 10 when the new smartphones hit shelves next month.
Microsoft has also revealed that Windows 10 would be rolling out to other models of Lumia in December.

The US firm hinted at the release date in the comments section on the official Lumia Facebook page.
Unfortunately the company has not confirmed the exact UK release date as this will depend of mobile carriers to push-out the major operating system update.
As for compatibility, Microsoft only says "it is our ambition" that the "majority of Lumia smartphones" will get Windows 10.
