THIS is what too much sugar is doing to our childrens' teeth
An Australian dentist has released shocking pictures of children's rotting teeth
THE state of the nation's teeth is always a cause for concern, and one dentist has revealed shocking pictures of a young patient's rotting pegs.

Our throw-away, fast food nation is famed for picking up food on-the-run and grabbing a soft drink to go with it.
In fact, over 70 per cent of people reach for soft drink over water on a regular basis - and this is ruining our teeth.

A dentist from Australia has revealed the state of modern children's teeth with a series of shocking, graphic photographs.
Dentist Sophie Beaumont - from The Royal Dental Hospital in Melbourne - has shocked the nation, telling them she's worked on over 1,000 young children feeling the affects of the fizzy drink culture.

Ms Beaumont claims the thousands of children had to be put under general anaesthetic to have teeth removed thanks to sugary drinks causing decay.
She added: "It is certainly not uncommon to do multiple extractions on young children, often if there is one tooth with severe decay then there will be others that are just as bad.
"Children will often present at the clinic after their parents have been kept awake all night because their child can't sleep through the pain. This results in a very negative first experience at the dentist."
Dr Rob Beaglehole, Nelson Marlborough District Health's principal dental officer, added: "We're getting a lot of kids who are having Pepsi and Coca-Cola being put in their baby bottles.
[Drink manufacturers are] actively marketing to young kids. [Kids] might even bring in bottles of Powerade with them [to appointments]."
