A MOTHER was finally motivated to lose weight after she became so heavy she crashed through a massage table.
Catherine Martin, 35, suffered a string of embarrassing mishaps when her weight soared to 17st.
She also split her trousers in a supermarket and was constantly congratulated on being pregnant.

Catherine, who works in human resources, said: “I’ve had enough embarrassment to last a lifetime. Splitting my trousers was mortifying enough.
"I went on to break a massage table, though the masseuse kindly tried to pretend it wasn’t my fault.”

Catherine, who has two daughters Eve, 11, and Daisy, nine, was embarrassed about her size in front of husband Andrew, 35.

She added: “I'm just so glad that I was eventually spurred into action. Losing weight has had a positive effect on my whole family.”
