GTA 5 fans can cash in with the Online bonuses on offer from Rockstar |
XBOX ONE News this week includes a GTA 5 bonus update unlocked, Black Ops 3 data transfers and Bethesda's Fallout 4 modding future.
GTA 5 fans have been getting competitive on Xbox One and PS4 following the release of the latest online update from Rockstar.
Having released a big list of new activities for fans to complete while on GTA Online, the development team have revealed that players will be able to cash in for a limited amount of time.
Fans can earn an extra bank balance boost by competing in one of the new event, such as Hunt The Beast or King of the Castle.
A new weekend is also set to be launched but has yet to be revealed.
A Rockstar statement revealed: "Complete any 5 of these brand new GTA Online Freemode Events between Tuesday, September 15th and Sunday, September 20th to get GTA$50,000 bonus in-game cash plus an exclusive Vapid t-shirt (awarded by Friday, September 25th).
"And look for more details on more GTA Online bonuses to be announced in the upcoming Freemode Events Social Club Weekend later this week here at the Newswire."
The new update has also changed how players have been tackling life online, with many fans snapping up new vehicles so that they can now complete the new freemode events, with new ones launching every 12 minutes in-game.
Call of Duty Black Ops Fans have been asking if the same features that were added for the release of Advanced Warfare, the ability to data transfer from last-gen to Xbox One and PS4, will be possible with the latest COD title.
Studio design director, David Vonderhaar confirmed on Twitter, however, that this won't be possible.
No reason was given for why but it would make sense that a year on developers would expect a big enough audience exists to not warrant the need.
The announcement for the latest instalment in the COD franchise on Xbox One, PS4 and PC came on April 26, it wasn't until June 9 that it was confirmed on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Bethesda have a plan of action on how they will support Fallout 4 after the dust has settled on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Fallout 4 News this week includes Bethesda's update on gaming mods |
Bethesda have laid out their plans on releasing new DLC content in 2016, for Fallout 4 as well as launching the Creation Mod Kit that will eventually feature fan-made content on PS4 and Xbox One.
The studio has confirmed that the software being released is the same as what their team uses to make the game and will open up a huge range of possibilities to fans.
Fallout as a franchise has produced a dedicated modding fan base, with Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas both sharing an impressive list of game-changing options on modding sites such as Nexus.
Coming first to Xbox One, modding will be available on both new-gen consoles, although the ground rules set by Bethesda for giving mods the greenlight includes banning assets from other games, as well as nudity.
In a new update, Bethesda spelled out some of what they hope to achieve in 2016, telling fans: "The most important thing in our games is the freedom you have to create your own experience, and modding is a big part of that. Like all our previous games, we’ve made sure to keep Fallout 4 open and moddable at every step in development.
"Early next year we’ll release for free the new Creation Kit for the PC. This is the same tool we use in the studio. You'll be able to create your own mods and share them with others.
"We’re especially excited these same mods will then be coming to Xbox One, and then PlayStation 4.
