LIVERPOOL legend Steve McManaman believes Manchester United are vulnerable and there for the taking this weekend.
The fierce rivals are set to go to battle at Old Trafford on Saturday (5.30pm kick-off) and McManaman has backed his former club for an away victory.
While Brendan Rodgers' side are reeling from a 3-0 home loss to West Ham in their last Premier League outing, the BT Sport pundit doesn't think United are what they used to be.
“This Manchester United side aren’t the Manchester United of the past. They have their own transitional problems," he said.
“Liverpool are probably facing them at the right time.
"On the back of their defeat to Swansea, they’re in a bit of disarray.
“They look vulnerable at the back, just like Liverpool did against West Ham.
"It’s got the makings of one of those games where the team who makes the least amount of mistakes wins."
United appear to be in a bit of turmoil going into the game, after reports emerged suggesting players are unhappy with manager Louis van Gaal.
However, they won both clashes between the two sides last season, with a 3-0 victory at home and a 2-1 win at Anfield.
And the Red Devils also hold a slight advantage in the overall head-to-head record, with 85 wins compared with Liverpool's 74. 61 games have ended in a draw.
