The Court of Oryx game mode was the main focus for today's final Twitch event ahead of release.

Exploring the Dreadnaught were David Dague, Ben Wommack, community guest Laced Up Lauren and Urk.

Court of Oryx is a new public event, which is triggered by collecting items and bringing it to the loot-filled fortress.

Showing off the Raze-Light exotic sword, the trio hit the Dreadnaught, and were promptly attacked by the Taken, who were reacting to the group being in the area.
Collecting one of the new items, Agonarch Rune, was earned by killing a special Taken enemy Champion, and is something that has been setup to keep players coming back to the Dreadnaught.

The team explored several new places that hadn't been shown before, the Hall of Souls and the Court of Oryx.

Statues heading into the court represent challenges that need to be completed, with the items collected from the Champions needing to be placed at the statues to activate the new public event.

The Dreadnaught Patrol can have three people on a team, and will lead to several tiers of Court of Oryx bosses, the first called Vorlog.

Whoever places the rune on the statue gets to earn the best rewards, with players encouraged to jump in with others to complete the lower tier challenges.

The lower tiers won't have the same boss appearing twice in a row and will evetually have bosses appearing together to form harder levels.
The Twitch event starts Wednesday, 2nd September at 19:00 BST, with Bungie community manager David Dague teaming up with with designer Ben Wommack, community guest Laced Up Lauren and special closing guest and creative director behind the Taken King, Luke Smith.
Bungie have promised that the team will be venturing deep within the Dreadnaught, Patrolling its dark halls in search of loot, adventure and player instigated public events and also showing off the Court of Oryx, a new mode for the game.
The livestream will be viewable here: http://www.twitch.tv/bungie, with a widget open at the top of this article which will go live at 19:00, UK time.
Destiny will see the launch of its latest expansion on September 15, adding new weapons, armour and a new raid to the game.
Taken King creative director Smith spoke recently about Bungie's ambitions to improve on how Destiny's main questing works, citing it as a natural evolution in the general questing system from Year One.
Questification is what the studio is calling the overhaul, and its aim is to make it more clear cut what prizes are on offer when you complete something in the game.

Bungie said at the time when announcing the changes that "It was clear to us and the community that it was an area for improvement, especially if we wanted to rely on questing even more in Year Two.
"The Taken King was built with Quests in mind, but we didn't want to ignore the Year One content in this global change. So as a part of this update, we've taken all Destiny content and - for lack of a better term - "questified" it."
Changes have also been made to accommodate fans who enjoy PvP action, with players now able to complete the PVP Intro chain on Lord Shaxx to receive access to the Weekly PVP quests on Lord Shaxx and the PVP Quartermaster.
A Lord Shaxx Bounty called "The True Meaning of War" will be unlocked, which requires completing the PVP weeklies, and grants players Nightfall tier rewards.
