This young man devoured 17 Big Macs in under an hour |
IF YOU think you're a big eater, the chances are you've got nothing on this competitive eater who scoffed more McDonald's than imaginable.
Competitive eater Adam Moran, has set a new world record by eating a belly-busting 17 Big Macs in under an hour.
The food-loving Brit was set the gut-busting task by fans who challenged him to eat 25 of the McDonalds burgers in just sixty minutes.
Packed off with £50 worth of the fast food chain's burgers (and plenty of water to wash them down) Adam took on the challenge in the garden of his home in Leeds.
He got off to a great start, throwing a mammoth 15 burgers down his gullet in just 35 minutes.
But Adam admits he began to struggle with the monstrous meal.
He sailed through the first 15 with ease, but it became tricky |
Speaking about the challenge, he said: "It was enjoyable for about seven Big Macs, after that it became exponentially less enjoyable with every bite.
"Funnily enough, it wasn't the volume that got me, but the flavour of the gherkins. Had I ordered them without gherkins I might have downed a few more."
He added: "Afterwards I felt pretty bad, this was one of the more difficult eating stunts I've done, and I'd advise against anyone trying to replicate it.
"I have my girlfriend who on standby to support me most of the time when I'm eating. Partly for support, partly as a bit of a failsafe if anything goes wrong.
"Some challenges are hard because of the amount of food, some because of the taste, or the time limit."
Despite starting off with great speed and managing 15 burgers in just over half an hour, it all got too much.
Adam looked full and uncomfortable as he sat surrounded by boxes |
He was washing the burgers down with water and ice cream, but after 30 mins he could only manage two more bringing his total to 17 Big Macs in under an hour.
But the mega 17 Big Mac marathon was still enough to earn Adam a world record after his McDonalds feat was officially recognised as a new world record by website recordsetter.com.
The retail stock broker from Leeds, has taken part in over 40 food challenges, and runs a YouTube channel beard meats food where he keeps fans up to date with his most recent food challenges.
He's previously eaten 40 Cadbury Creme Eggs and the entire KFC Streetwise menu in under an hour.
His other feats include eating a stone of meat at Huckleberry's Diner in York and demolishing Jester's Diner's 'kids breakfast' - a breakfast that, at 9lbs, is heavier than a newborn baby.
