FELLOW Liverpudlian Paul O'Grady opened up about his fond memories of late friend Cilla Black and he recalled frequenting some questionable venues with her.
The 60-year-old comedian was feeling nostalgic on his BBC Radio 2 show earlier today, when he was joined by another dear friend of Cilla's, Sir Cliff Richard.
Paul laughed about how he would have to hide the legendary entertainer's expensive jewellery in his pockets when they painted the town red in New York during their heyday.
Pop legend Cliff, 74, chimed in and spoke about the former Blind Date presenter's "real class".
"When she said: 'Oh tonight I'm going to get Cilla'd up' you knew that you had to leave while she got dressed and everything," Cliff said.
"Cliff I used to go into quite dicey nightclubs with her in New York," Paul replied. "I'd say: 'Cilla give us the Tom' meaning the jewellery.
"Then all the jewellery would come off and I’d have like a million pounds worth of jewellery in my pocket."
Cilla's confidantes also chatted about her impeccable style and how she always opted for towering 10-inch heels and never wore flat shoes.
The talk show host recently paid tribute to his long-time buddy on his radio show.
He opened by thanking fans for their continued support, saying that the world had "lost the queen of showbiz herself" and that he had "lost a very dear friend".
The singer tragically died on August 1 after accidentally falling and hitting her head in her Spanish villa.
After her death, Cliff revealed that he had arranged to visit her later than week in her Costa del Sol abode.
Cilla's funeral will take place in Liverpool on Thursday at St Mary's Church in Woolton and after the service she will be laid to rest during a private ceremony in Allerton Cemetery, where her parents are buried.
