Justin and Jen, 46, want to have a family |
HOLLYWOOD newlyweds Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux are hoping to create an instant family by adopting at least one child, possibly two, from a Mexican orphanage she has been quietly supporting for five years.
The former Friends star, 46, has already reportedly held talks with staff at the Casa Hogar Sion hospice and care home for youngsters in the drug cartel crime-ridden border city of Tijuana.
One of her closest confidantes confirmed yesterday: "They both want this to happen as soon as possible.
"Jen has always longed for a daughter, possibly because her relationship with her own mother has been a lifelong emotional roller-coaster. Justin, meanwhile, says he would love to have a son.
"They are undecided whether to adopt two youngsters at once or apply for legal custody of one and wait a while before adopting a second child. It is a complex process involving international laws but they are ready to get going."
Aniston co-founded a charity to help support Casa Hogar Sion after visiting youngsters in their dormitory-style accommodation there with her acting coach and friend Leigh Kilton-Smith.
Ms Kilton-Smith recently revealed: "She has come to the rescue so many times to save the kids from falling into positions of desperation." Aniston herself declared: "Going there is an extremely moving experience.
"When you drive up to this place, you see these kids running out. They have been given a lot of love and they are getting educated. If there are times they need a little help, I'm so grateful to be able to do that."
Since setting up the charity, Aniston has visited the children "numerous times," often en route to or from one of her favourite holiday destinations, the upscale Mexican resort of Cabo San Lucas.
The actress was last week on honeymoon with Theroux on the paradise Pacific island of Bora Bora in French Polynesia, where they also celebrated his 44th birthday on Monday.
A second source close to the couple, who married in a surprise ceremony at her £14million Bel Air mansion following a three-year engagement, said: "Jen is ready to embrace motherhood.
"She has always been aware that a combination of her age and the enormously busy schedules she and Justin have to juggle mean that her chances of natural conception have probably slipped away completely."
